Planning consent and public opinion was needed for this new industrial site development.

A new power substation was to be located near to existing housing. To help pass the planning stage the developer, NorthernPower, needed to show how, in a couple of years, the new buildings would be masked by the planting of a new hedge.

Working from the site plans I was able to illustrate the street view of the new buildings and power infrastructure. I then illustrated the same view with the inclusion of added hedge planting.

The final image showing a fully grown hedge which hides the view successfully.

I finished the project by supplying an animated file which automatically shows the progression from no hedge, to small hedge, to final fully grown hedge.
